His new Buster Swords (and I mean 'many Buster Swords') have a unique fusing function, allowing more strength in the attack when swung. However, when a mysterious man mentions the name ' Sephiroth', he brings his mind back into reality and decides to find out the presence of his 'so-called' brothers, Kadaj and Company. He also decided to gave up fighting after believing he had become weak and couldn't protect anyone anymore. He's mainly quiet, stubborn, and doesn't seem to worry about what's going on around him. He now resides in Aeris' Church in Sector 5. His reason is the infection of Geostigma on his left arm (hidden under the black cloak).

Note: The cell phone Cloud uses in the movie is the Panasonic P900iV which is only available in Japan and the color is officially called Cloud Black in honor of the character. However, Cloud, with help from Aeris's spirit and their friends, overcame both of these threats to his being when he fought the Remnants of Sephiroth, and Sephiroth himself in a final battle. But though injected with Mako, he lacked the ideal attributes to be in ShinRa and thus became ShinRa MP. Cloud was a young man who wanted to be in SOLDIER.
